Conveniently, all equipment can be rented at the lake.
If you prefer things bigger, you can have all this in the Mediterranean Sea too,
the Costa del Sol is just 25 minutes away.

Horse riding

There are several horse riding and trekking facilities available, catering for all levels.

Festivals

Los Romanes has three major festivals during the year in addition to several smaller festivals.

May – Towards the end of the month, the Romeria takes place. This three day event involves many people from nearby towns and villages forming a procession around Lake Vinuela. Drinks and tapas are supplied free along the route and the event attracts barbecues, beer tents, horse shows, and other entertainment.

June – Verdiales usually takes place at the end of the month. Originating in Almogía, near the Spanish port of Málaga in Andalucía, this style of music and dance is based on the fandango. For this reason, the Verdiales are sometimes known as Fandangos de Málaga.

August – The weekend closest to the 15th of August marks the festival of Feria de la Virgen de Milagrosa. This important event is celebrated with flamenco dancing and music, while every café and restaurant produces a special, celebratory paella.
